Demi Lovato and Joe Jonas are not dating. Ever since the premiere of their hit Disney movie Camp Rock last summer, rumors have been flying that Demi, who plays Mitchie Torres, and Joe, who plays her love interest, pop star Shane Gray, are dating. Demi Lovato’s finally had enough though and finally took the issue to her Twitter account, stating that she and Joe Jonas are best friends but are not dating in several tweets.

The sequel to Camp Rock, Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam, is set to premiere next year. Somehow I doubt the Demi Lovato and Joe Jonasdating rumors will have died down by then though! From Demi Lovato’s Twitter:

“We’ve NEVER dated. He’s incredible, but we don’t have feelings for each other in that way. I love you guys, and I wouldn’t lie about that.”

“But that’s how this whole city works I guess. It just makes me sad that people are that mean in this world.”

Too bad. Demi Lovato and Joe Jonas would make a really good couple, don’t you think?
